Since I was a little girl, I knew I would be an entrepreneur just like my mother and grandmother. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a major in accounting and minor in hospitality. I went on to start my own tax firm. After many years, I realized how much I missed having a daily life with more creativity. In 2015, I planned and designed my own wedding day; I had not really understood how beneficial a day-of coordinator or wedding planner could have been!; with a few mishaps and overlooked budgets, It was then I decided to go back to school and achieve an wedding planning certificate. To gain additional hands-on experience, I interned with a local event company.
Today I am proud of the vendor relationships we have built, the ability to be both meticulous and creative everyday, and the opportunity to make my client’s dreams come true on a budget.
When I am not planning your perfect day, I am trying to get around of golf in, or cuddling with my cat, with a great glass of vino in hand.
MEET OUR TEAM
shawn
Shawn is the left side of our ship designing all our unique pieces with Adell’s vision at hand. He is a master welder at heart with a creative and patient mind. Shawn is amazing at explaining the details needed and the textures we need to use. He constantly is looking outside the box and comes up with unique and better ways to design the same thing at a fraction of the cost. Our ship would sink without him!
Cathleen
Cathleen is one of our Day of Coordinators. She is a great decorator and peacekeeper, always saying “we got this” when things feel uncertain. She is very patient and is also a wedding officiant. As a “mother hen” she can handle any situation. On our wedding days, you will see her taking charge with day-of coordination as the second in command. She can take all of our plans, and run the show successfully. So proud to have her at the reigns and know our clients are in good hands.
MARIE-CEL
Marie-cel is one of our Day of Coordinators. She has strong attention to details, communication skills, and an ability to always stay calm under pressure. Her experience in the industry was acquired by interning for multiple Detroit venues, coordinating friend’s weddings, and working alongside Adell. With a mom mindset, she is almost always nurturing, and a supervisor second, there are no stones left unturned, she is guiding you along the way. In her off time, she enjoys photographing nature, spending time with her husband, and volunteering for field trips for her two kids.
Brandon
Brandon is our hands on deck supporter. He is calm and a true team player with the design and vision; He can execute a room set up in no time flat. Every task is approached with grace and understanding, a go getter approach. In his time off he enjoys handy man projects and rebuilding classic cars.
Our wedding went off without a hitch thanks to the pros at Everlasting! Adell is so experienced, especially with Detroit venues, that nothing can take her by surprise. Her vendor list is absolutely phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for better partners. It was such a luxury to choose from an abbreviated set of vendors with which I could not go wrong. I actually really miss working with all the people who helped make our wedding a success!

Office Staff
Patches is the assistant that never leaves Adell’s side when she is home. Every morning she jumps on the office desk & will hang out in the office window or sit right on her papers.
Precious is the assistant who says their working but not really , she pops her head in to let you know she’s here.
Buddy sleeps most days but is the boss when he wants something. Literally will tap the back of Adell’s office chair until responded to.
BooBoo is the momma, mostly staying outside until it’s on her terms and she wants to be petted and demands attention.
